CO Shines Updates | In-Person Ratings and Comment Period on Rules and Regulations

  • In-person Colorado Shines ratings will start up again in January 2022 using the Early Childhood Environment Rating Scale®, Third Editions (ITERS-3, ECERS-3, and FCCERS-3). Get all the details HERE.
  • Comment Period for Rules & Regs: The Office of Early Childhood, Division of Early Care and Learning is recommending changes to the Rules Regarding Child Care Facilities (Less Than 24-Hours). This rule package includes proposed changes to reduce barriers for staff qualifications and outdoor space requirements. In order to help programs identify all rules applicable to their program type, this package has also been reorganized into a more consumer-friendly format and duplicative rules have been removed. Public Comment will close on August 19, 2021.
